John Dickson has been teaching and leading Christians in worship since the Jesus Movement of the early ‘70s. He now leads the Glory of Zion International worship team which is known for its ministry in prophetic song and break through praise. John is the co-author with Chuck Pierce of the book Worship Warrior which delves into pertinent issues of worship facing Christians today. Home for John and his wife Violet is Denton, Texas where they have had the joy of raising their four sons.

“In 363 A.D. the Council of Laodicea decreed that only the clergy could sing in church. For more than a thousand years after that decree, church laymen sat silently during the worship until Martin Luther brought them back into the process by writing songs in the language of the common people and admonishing them to sing once again. Now, five hundred years later, there is an explosion of worship in the church. In the last forty years or so a new phenomenon has even occurred in the Body of Christ: God has raised up worship leaders to facilitate the church in this explosion of worship. This has not occurred since Asaph, Heman and Ethan were raised up to lead the praise in the tabernacle of David.
